Purely Cello is a software application aimed at supporting cellists in developing their technical skills and musicality. Through repetitive practice of its integrated routines and lessons, users can expect gradual improvements in their playing technique. The interface features advanced visual elements that enhance the practice experience by providing visual cues alongside audio playback, facilitating an auditory-visual learning process. Practitioners can play along with the software using features like a virtual fingerboard, animated musical scores, and tab notation, which are designed to make following the music intuitive regardless of skill level. Live animation guides help users track the progression of the music, accommodating various practice styles and proficiency levels.

The application offers visual and auditory cues for upcoming notes and playback options that include synthesized music or metronome rhythms, or a combination thereof. This functionality supports a listen-and-try approach, allowing users to internalize pieces effectively.

Users can adjust the tempo for each routine or lesson, enabling practice at speeds suitable to their current proficiency. Custom lesson creation is facilitated through drag-and-drop functionality, allowing practitioners to compile personalized practice schedules focusing on specific skills areas.

The software supports versatile practice configurations, including the selection of specific routines and adjustable tempos. Users can switch between hearing only the music, only the metronome, or a combination of both to tailor their learning experience. An independent metronome feature provides further control over tempo settings with visual and auditory feedback.

In terms of additional content options, an in-app purchase is available for the 'Full Content Pack,' offering access to all routines and lessons. The application operates on a subscription model with a monthly fee of $2.99 (or equivalent local currency), billed through the user's iTunes account. Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours prior to renewal date via account settings. It is important to note that active subscriptions cannot be canceled mid-term.
